Alligator killed in Alabama

One of our customers drew a tag to harvest an alligator and killed this one last night. From what I was told they had it measured at the check station and it officially came in at 14' 0".
From doing a quick google search it seems they were 2" off from a new state record (14' 2" is the record)
Either way this is a big gator and I wouldn't want to run up on it unprepared.

Not sure on the weight either but I know it was the same one they were talking about. Said it was over 14 foot.

I saw a dead deer floating in the river right there in Gees bend on Wednesday. Surprised it didn't have any limbs missing or bite marks. Gators all by where I stay
