Nothing can match a electric motor for low end torque since maximum torque occurs at zero RPM. Besides the simplicity of power transfer it’s why locomotives are driven by electric motors, and Tesla cars destroy any internal combustion engine powered muscle car off the starting line.

But no electric vehicle, especially one the size of a Hummer, will have 11,500 lb/ft of torque regardless if it's at the 1st rpm or 4000. I haven't done the math yet but you will need a shite load of lithium ion batteries and an giant cooling system for those batteries.

The only way those numbers work and the vehicle is actually useable for more than 5 miles is if it has some sort of diesel power plant to keep batteries charged.

Pretty much every OTR truck will exert over 100,000 lb-ft at the axles in first gear. Something you, and so many others, miss is that with a directly coupled electric motors driving the wheels there is no gear reduction to take advantage of even though it is mechanically more efficient.

I assume most know that. And the torque characteristics of an electric motor. But what stood out to me was the raw torque number. Without looking it up I don’t think even Tesla’s envisioned 18 wheeler had anything close to that number at the Motor output before any reduction by a transmission or differential.
