I hunt in central Louisiana and the acorn crop is horrible. The trees that normally produce have no acorns. Anyone experiencing the same acorn issues?

Find the few trees that are dropping.
Hang a stand.
Get ready.

Fields Louisiana area dropping them like crazy. Haven't seen a deer in my area for two weeks because of them. They drop on the other side of the lease from me. Gives me time to build a hog fence.

Acorn crop is also terrible in West Lincoln Parish. I haven't gone searching all the trees in the woods, but the white oaks around the camp didn't produce at all and the red oaks only dropped a few.

my property has very few acorns this year. Last year was a bumper crop so it was to be expected.

White oaks are off in southwest Mississippi but that was expected because they usually drop every other year. I believe there was a late freeze after a warm up early this year, which could have been a factor.

Where in central Louisiana are you? I'm in Avoyelles and it felt like walking on marbles in the woods this past weekend.

Lots in Tensas Parish. Watched deer all weekend eat acorns and never go to the feeder. By not going to feeder, never got in front of the camera. People that use cameras as there primary source of scouting are missing out on reality by not being in the woods. Probably saw 40 deer this weekend that never went in front of the cameras.

Same. I hunted a patch of oaks that borders cutover. Had 14 deer come through there one morning. None of them went in the foodplot that was 150 yards away or passed in front of a camera. Only saw maybe a handful of deer on plots all from in 8 hunts

Seemed that way here in south Arkansas, but it's been raining acorns for the past few weeks. Late drop. I got a white oak in my front yard that makes heavy every year. Thought this year would be an exception, but I've collected 60+ lbs of acorns in the past 5 days and there's a ton more.

I've got four in the yard that all make well. We've been here 16 years and I didn't see an acorn until about 3 weeks ago. They are smaller than usual though. I collect them and use them when the acorns at the camp are gone, but this year it's the same there. Nothing until about 3 weeks ago, but especially the last two weeks.
