Just info for all you ar builders out there.

As many here know, unfinished lowers are not considered firearms. They can be shipped right to your home.

If you want to really build yourself an ar, get yourself one of these and then borrow or buy a jig kit. With a router and the jig as well as a hand drill you are set and can finish that guy off.

Then you can finish it out with a lower parts kits and build the rest.

You may want to anodize it later.

Anyway looks pretty easy to do. Going to try in the new year!

There are lots of different jigs out there and many are very similar. Just for a new experience!

Think I'm eventually going to invest in a solid bench top CNC setup. Work from solid billets of material.

You might want to go ahead and get parts now if you have your build planned. One of the things I've heard mentioned is Biden wanting to end or limit internet sales of parts. No idea if it will happen but to be safe I've bought everything for two builds, except for barrels.

Because of the panic buying, everyone is sold out.

Billet lowers should be fine but forged is the strongest. Not that we are ever going to likely be at the limits of these...

But sounds like you have a real workshop. We may need to be friends...

A jig that uses a router instead of a drill is generally considered easier and better.
