So, I mowed the grass by the house today and turned the water on. I was moving the sprinkler after about 1 hour. I see two copperheads in the yard. I get a shovel, and eliminate them. Around dark I go out to put the hose away and over the next few minutes took out 4 more.

We are in the country so we expect such things, but 6 in 30 minutes got me hopped up!

I am sure the water drew them out, but damn.

I would not bother them if I see them on the road, but by the house with wife and kid, they had to go.

The momma is around and she is probably about three feet long.
Good luck

Damn bro, where you live? I’m on my way.

Found 8 cottonmouths today but had to go looking for them. Copperheads are my favorite to catch though.

Cicadas are out thick right now. Thus, copperheads.

This.

Anytime you see cicadas around, watch your step in the yard at night. The copperheads are always moving after a hatch.

I found a big copperhead while mowing last week. It was a shame that he just happened to get in the way of the mower and I chopped him to pieces before I could come to a stop.

Congrats on the locust infestation. Did you know that is wasn't actually God cursing the Egyptians for enslaving the Israelites that brought about that plague of locusts? It was because Pharaoh killed 6 copper heads. So yea, better prepare for the face of your land to be covered in locusts and all your crops and fruit to be destroyed, a-hole.

Dude, I would not bother any snake if it is out on the road, but in my front yard when I have a wife and kid is a different story.

I'm just saying, a single adult copper head can eat 4,000 locust per second. So you took out 6 of them. A little math tells us that's 518,400 locust per day you just allowed to live.
