Saw that last night. How do they know it was arson so quickly?

Someone must have seen someone flee the scene.

Is there power running to the camp?

If not, then there is likely no other way for the camp to just catch fire

oh I have no idea who this guy is I was just making a basic comment

I had to google Bayou Chaland to even see where it was. Looks like its accessible by water only, that won't be a fun or cheap rebuild

The fb link I posted has a couple of videos of it burning.

No idea who took the pics or video but I bet it was whoever started it.

Did he recently gate up a canal or entrance to a marsh in that area or maybe control access to a marsh? Just sayin its a "HOT" topic right now.

Possibly. I have been asked to leave the backside of those islands more than once. The islands and the marsh behind them are entirely private. Some of the water is being claimed by both the state and the land owners so it's even more difficult to navigate. It's a weird issue that I don't really understand so I just stopped going.

That area is bad about camps being torched. A good friend of mine was burned out of two camps down that way. He gave up and stopped fishing down there. He bought a camp in Lafitte.
