I'm speaking of the Express model 870 20ga.



speaking only about the new ones here (those 15yrs old and newer). That gun will rust sitting in a barrel is desiccant.

My son had my nephews gun several years ago. I had it sitting in a closet that has heat and a/c.
I left it in there for a couple of months and grabbed it and it was completely rusted over. It was not in a gun case. It was sitting in the closet.

told my brother what happened and was apologizing and he said to not worry about it. The same had happened to him with it several times.
