2 strokes just make so much more sense to me, especially since the days of fuel injection arrived.

Well, its easy to tell when mine is running. You should see the looks I get when I have it trimmed up with the exhaust above the water

I heard you coming from a long way away. Reminded me of the old days when Randy Mathews was blowing out an engine once a month.

Not yet. Its been a great rig. Motor is a 2000 with a little under 300hrs on it. Took it to Rothwell Marine and had them go through it top to bottom and everything looked good. The ol pro max was a popular motor for off shore and its common for them to run 600 hrs without popping. Of course, its a motor, so any could pop any time.
I have a Brucato SVS on it and Im putting out about 330 hp, but at a lot less compression than the 300x's. I just have an X cowling on a pro max. Came that way second hand.
