saw a few at yeserday in Mandeville at the Mardi Paws parade. Told my daughter that will be my next dog. There was one particular woman out there walking three of them together. My daughter and I talked with her and pet her dogs for some time.

I saw that lady as well. For three bird dogs they walked pretty well on leashes and didn’t seem to be pulling her too much. Beautiful dogs.

GSP has an incredible prey drive. They are bred for hunting. This is great in the field, but can be frustrating in everyday life.

Yep, I didn't train my GSP for hunting, but all he ever cares about is deer, birds, squirrels, etc. Whenever I get home, his first instinct isn't to greet me. It's to run to the back door to go outside and start to hunt for me.

Saw that as well, there was a female with with a lot of brown right next to us. This one wasn't as well behaved though.

That's one of the best look GSPs I've ever seen.

Looks a lot like my girl. Got her when she was about the same age from a family who didn't know what they were getting into. Scared to death of a gunshot but she seems to find ways to pass the time when she's at the hunting camp.
