A lot said in this thread is debateable, this however is not. The suction is unreal. Now, a knife to the bottom of them would be of great help, but still a huge, huge task.
I can't hardly get in and out of waders standing on the hill next to the truck....

Isn't that the norm for posts that last several pages on most sites like this??? Two or three guys get into a pissing contest over something stupid.
At this point in time my heart goes out to the families of these two young men who's lives are/were just starting, and I hate to be negative, but after all this time, it just doesn't look like there's going to be a happy ending to this.

Didn't expect less of them since they've already reached the bottom of the pit-----may as well stay there and wallow in their discord.

United Cajun Navy
Faith is knowing that no matter what the situation is in our own lives, or the lives of others, the Lord is working on it.
Most of us never had the privilege of meeting Gunner and Zeb. However their story has touched our hearts & forever impacted all of our lives.
Last Thursday, Gunner & Zeb headed out to do what they loved most. When they left their families, friends, and ultimately the boat launch, they had no idea that their lives were about to change countless others lives as well.
It is a true miracle to witness total strangers, from all over the country and from EVERY walk of life, UNITING because of this tragic accident.
We ALL came together in FAITH, HOPE and PRAYER for the boys, their friends, families, volunteers and the SAR teams. That moment of UNITY proved that we always have a silver lining, no matter how dark the cloud, we just have to be willing to look for it.
We continue to pray that Zeb & Gunner will be brought home to their precious families.
Please join us in this prayer to help bring the boys home.

Great to see so many people volunteering to search for the two missing young men. Looks like they have many boots on the ground, boats in the water and from prior posts, air searches also going on.

The Cajun Navy is amazing. It infuriates me that they don't get more press, especially considering their passion for helping others with the skills they have. Seems like I remember after Harvey the MSM was refraining from calling the "Cajun Navy," inferring that "Cajun" might be offensive. ( I could be talking out of my arse or misremembering) but I remember being annoyed about it when Harvey coverage was being broadcast. Has anyone else noticed that or am I just not remembering correctly?

God bless the Cajun Navy and prayers for these young men.

They are missing, everybody can read between the lines and logically we can all assume the worst, but in respect to the boys and their families , they are missing

Does it matter why any of those guys do what they do?
If this was your family would you feel better if nobody showed up to volunteer or give a crap?
Guess what. Helping others feels good sometimes. Your post doesn’t suggest that you would know that.

Quite the opposite. When that group of jokers formed, i destroyed a prop doing good deeds around Baton Rouge. I just forgot to sell merchandise or ask for donations

I think they got a lot of praise in the MSM during Harvey...I don't think it'd be possible for them to be recognized for what they did and do but I doubt many gives a tinkers damn about praise.
I remember watching the coverage of Harvey and seeing those folks running around saving people who they probably wouldn't speak to normally and thinking this is the best of America....despite a chasm of differences in politics we put those aside when people need help....and I stand by that. Most of those people on both sides would only interact when absolutely necessary in normal day to day life but when they are in trouble all of that goes out the window and they come together. Tomorrow they may be calling one another names again in private but in a crisis they worked together. It seems like there had been some serious protesting going on just before Harvey about one of the police killings somewhere and it really heightened the fact that even we disagree vehemently we can come together when its really needed....

You do realize the second part is pretty normal in every day life. It's the MSM that pushes these divides you see.

The fact that I, personally, wish that they received more attention has nothing to do with what "they" want. I was mainly asking because I "think" I remember, at least one channel, refraining from saying "cajun" when they did address it (but like I said that was years ago and I wasn't particularly paying all that much attention). Show me where the Cajun Navy man touched you.
Edit: but I apologize for the derailment, are there any new developments?
