Looks like its only this gear ratio but good price. I dont have any experience with this reel but know several people that like it. May pull the trigger.

May even be able to bring this deal to Academy and get the price match + 5% discount

Amazon

ETA: Down to $70 at Dicks

Damn that's tempting. I don't "need" a new reel, but could definitely find a use for one.

13 fishing reels are straight up garbage. There's a reason they are discounting them

Still hoping for some Bass Pro/Cabela's sales. Need a couple or three new set ups.

Concept's aren't holding up like a $200 reel should IMO.
BP reels are Lew's just branded BP, great value too.
Just put three of these into action and they are butta.
LINK
Like them better than the lewslite but getting used to the round handle knobs.

How would you feel about it at $100? Better than other reels at that price point? I have never used the Z fwiw.

That’s one reel that was going to Revolutionize reels.;) Guess it was a flop if someone is stuck with them and discounting 50%. Yeah, for a hunerd dollas I would take a chance.

Can’t beat Shimano. Love the Curado DC and Curado 70.

The components on inside are junk. Take them apart and compare to other high end baitcasters. They allow water inside way too easy compared to others and if you get salt inside you are screwed. I'm sure they work great in freshwater. Take one wade fishing and you might as well throw it away. My revo's can take a lot of abuse. I'm also happy with my diawas especially the tatula.

i had a Z for about 10 months and fished hit pretty hard, shite i dropped in the water at the Tower for a solid 2 days doing roadside
My biggest compliant was that its a noisy MFer on the cast but one on the smoothest retrieving reels I'd thrown, hell went as far as to change out the polymer bushings to Boca's to see if it would help, short answer no so I returned it
so cant speak on its long term use, but didn't feel cheap and the Concept C is may fav reel in the boat at this moment and has been for better part of a yr
but at $100 (if you can handle the noise )
thats a pretty good deal IMO

Agree to disagree. Ive used 13’s exclusively past few years ... 5 TXs and 1 Concept C. I’ve only had one single issue with one of them and that happened a couple weeks ago. They perform as good or better than my old green Curados.

All the Concept Z's are that colour. Other 13 fishing reel series will have different colours.

$99 is about what that reel should have been priced at originally.
