Good Luck OB

ETA: Eventhough it’s 10+ degrees warmer than yesterday, I think today will be awesome. Especially this afternoon before that front starts coming in.

Looks like I’ll be in a box stand. Checked cameras yesterday, bucks have started cruising. Going sit on a clear cut.

Good Luck, I have a 3 day weekend but I have a job interview today and graduate tomorrow. I probably won't get a chance to deer hunt until after Christmas.

I normally have 2 or 3 does in the freezer by now. I won't want to shoot a doe once the rut starts.

Congrats on graduating and good luck with your interview.

Don’t stress about the deer right now. They’ll still be there. It’s always better around and after Christmas.

Nah you need that experience, you can always go deer hunting.

I thought the same and didn’t want a fuss. But when I saw the beaming faces of my relatives and how proud they were to see me get my a&m diploma, it was one of the best days of my life.

As the proverb goes, its for them, not you. But in the end it really is for you. Even thought you may not think so now, you need to recognize and celebrate those milestones.

I wasn’t sure. I knew there Nacogdoches, Tx but thought there may have been one in Colorado.

I hear Nacogdoches is a hot spot for East Texas

What kind of numbers did you guys see this morning?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen as many deer in a short amount of time as this morning. I saw 2 walking in and between 6:10- 7:35 I saw 43. I keep my fish counter in my backpack to keep track of how many deer I see. We always see good numbers here in Waterproof, especially the stand I was hunting close to the MS river but it was insane. I didn’t see another deer after 8:00.

Saw some good bucks this morning but were still on the young side. My brothers and I try to only kill bucks 4.5 years or older here. There were a couple 2-3 year olds I saw this morning that I hadn’t seen since gun season started. I feel good about my chances of killing something 135ish or over this weekend.
