About 54 degrees in Polk county Texas. Rain is slowing up.

Box stand, looking down a shooting lane cut through pine plantation. Couple of well browsed food plots out there too.

Good luck this morning everyone.

Typical, best hunt of the long weekend will be on Sunday evening when you have the least time to deal with it

Had a small 8 point walk out. Borderline if he made the 13” spread.

Watched him for 25 minutes.

I am sure it will be great, how old is he, mine is 11 and I am thinking of letting him sit next year.

He made 13 in September. Wife isn’t too happy about it but he is damn near man sized so figure it was time. Bought him his own rifle last year.

Just shot at a doe about 100 yds.

Mule kicked and took off into the briars.
