He must mean GP because Gabby owns the van. That’s why the police were able to take and search it without his permission.

There is clearly a presumption that he took her vehicle without her consent being that she is missing and he drove home with her vehicle. At minimum, the cops could question how he ended up with her vehicle without her in it. If he refuses to speak then hit him with the charges because the evidence shows he took her vehicle and he hasn’t provided proof, even a statement/consent that she told him he could take her vehicle.

You can’t charge someone without a victim. At this time she is only a missing person, you can’t just presume he stole the vehicle and hit him with felony charges. Who is going to go to court as the victim?

I think he’s guilty as shite, but there is nothing to charge him with right now.

You have this:
quote:

AUG 21: Gabby told her Dad on FaceTime that they had lost power during a stop in Salt Lake City.

Did the van lose power? Or did they lose power at a campsite or hotel?

Then you ask this:
quote:

AUG 23: BL returns from Florida trip via airplane (Where was the van parked?)

Did the van lose power and need to be worked on by a mechanic at a shop?

If there's one thing I've learned from watching van-life videos on YouTube it is that vans are pretty shitty and often break down.

Drive time from Yosemite to the Florida panhandle is 38 hours. Seems unlikely she sent that last message.

From the report of the police call, seems like that may be possible.

I wonder if maybe they had a fight and either she stormed off or he just left her somewhere.

Then he panicked and drove home.

They definitely had a fight. If she's crazy she probably stormed off to prove she didnt need anyone. From there she could have gotten lost in the desert or she could have come across some shady characters. There is definitely some reasonable doubt that rhe boyfriend did it. But, he's still gotta be the lead suspect

I just don’t believe she sent at least that last text based on the timeline and that she stopped FaceTiming like usual

as a card carrying member of the BAW race, no matter how pissed off i ever get with a woman there's zero chance i leave them in a compromising position. even if this actually happened he's still a pussy of the highest order to not let the parents know she stormed off or suck it up and get her to safety before ghosting her.

there's no justification for his actions since aug 31.

none.

he had something to do with it no doubt.

How long would it have taken him, alone to drive back?

Maybe they both were off the rails. My theory is that they had a fight, he is ticked off. Beats her with a frying pan and feeds her to a bear and then drives home.

Hard to imagine less than 42 or 43 hours minimum and even that seems optimistic.

We don’t know the exact time of the text nor his arrival and we also don’t know exactly where they were when that text was sent but seems like a stretch regardless.

Unless the text was sent early on 8/30 and he arrived home late 9/1 and on top of that they were already kind of heading in that direction anyway I don’t see that time frame working.

And even then the incident in question would have had to happen almost immediately after the text was sent for it to be her. I just don’t see it.

Some of the police reports are coming out regarding incidents the couple were involved in while on the road.

GP was seen striking BL several times. BL grabbed her face and pushed her away from him.

GP seen striking BL on the arm

GP told officers she suffers from mental health issues

BL told officers that time on the road has caused strain and that they were "fighting more than normal"

Main Street SLC, GP thought BL was gonna leave her in MOAB so she went to slap him. BL pushed her away from him

Officer taking report concluded this was NOT a DV incident but was a mental health crisis

If he ditched her and some rando got her then who sent the text? Rando wouldn’t care enough and wouldn’t easily be able to get in to the phone anyway.

Got to feel bad for that officer. Probably feeling like he should have done more, but separating them for the night was probably the most he could do. Doesn’t sound like he had enough to commit her for a 72 hour hold or anything.

I’m shocked that living in a stinky van with someone would lead to this.
