Its fun if you are in there with a group of buddies and everyone is drinking and if there are some strippers who are cool, if its not too busy they will hang out.. Play their game a little.. Get a lap dance from time to time, tip them when they are on stage it can be fun. I wouldn't go in alone on a holiday weekend or anything.

I can't really say anything against what you just said. Definitely made me think about it at least. Decided against going to the strip club tonight.

Last time I went to a strip club was over the summer with an old guy at work. I felt bad he was always going alone so I said id go with him. Watched the old dude spend at least 500 bucks. I think I spent maybe 50. They just aren't my thing anymore now that I dont drink.

Strippers can also be pretty gross. At least the strip clubs in Lincoln are pretty nasty.

Tampa it depends. Some are fine (relatively speaking), others are downright nasty. I've typically gone to Oz and Ybor, which aren't the highest clientele, but aren't bad either. There are far trashier strip clubs in Florida than those two.
I found your comments to be honest and helpful. To be honest, part of me has tried to find a woman and really, with the way dating is nowadays, have largely just given up.
I'm also just very much touch deprived in general nowadays which stinks to say the least.
I value my freedom and independence, but do find I miss that companionship, especially around the holidays and winter months when (even in Florida) you aren't outside as much. I don't think I'm your stereotypical "loser" in a strip club, but I get I'm probably not far from it. Thanks to many posts here, including yours, and the cold weather, I didn't go tonight. I can't say I'm off going tomorrow night, but definitely re-evaluating.

I have experience going to strip clubs as a reformed salesman that entertained out of town customers that always wanted to frequent good places to eat, Bourbon St. and strip clubs.
I did not enjoy this part of my job. My honest opinion of strip clubs is: They are a sad depressing place supported by lonely suckers and easy marks.
I think everyone should go experience it. If you been in enough of them you start to notice the "regulars", the grifters, the bf/pimps. It makes you less naive/gullible, kinda like experiencing what it is like to be in a fist fight.
I was a part of the sales industry for 23 years.
I did not enjoy this part of my job. My honest opinion of strip clubs is: They are a sad depressing place supported by lonely suckers and easy marks.

I feel your pain. Trust me. After my divorce, shite got bad for a while, but I’ve been back in the saddle for a good bit.
I think you have two different issues here…
1. If you wanna go to a strip club, go. It’s just entertainment. You wanna go cheap, then sit down and nurse a beer while you stare at some tits. Like one previous poster said, it’s like a casino. It’s designed for you to lose money. If you walk into a casino expecting to win, you’re probably leaving disappointed. If you go into a strip club expecting to get laid, the same applies.
2. Your posting style suggests you may be depressed. You allude to being overweight, battling ED, being lonely, and accepting it. That isn’t a good combo. Get to work on yourself, talk to a professional, or something. Going to a strip club isn’t fixing any of those issues. Find a different hobby. You have better luck finding your long term partner on a decent online dating site or in the aisles of Target.
