Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and grandpa, we believe

Didn't know he did Christmas songs, too. My 15-year-old introduced me to all his Halloween songs.

Friends and relations send salutations
Sure as the stars shine above
This is Christmas, yes, Christmas, my dear
The time of year to be with the one you love
Then won't you tell me, you'll never more roam
Christmas and New Year's will find you home
There'll be no more sorrow, no grief and pain
'Cause I'll be happy, happy once again

The old Charles Brown version. I love that piano.

The lights on my tree, I wish you could see
I wish it every day
Logs on the fire fill me with desire
To see you and to say

Karen Carpenter was a huge loss to the music world.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the tree tops glisten

As a little kid, I always hoped for a white Christmas.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year"

I don't care what mood I'm in, it just chills me out.

mostly because of the collection of talent

Just because of a lot of talent signers contribute to a song doesn't make it a good song.

It is the most pretentious, self righteous, shitty Christmas song of all time. I don't give a shite how many great singers are on the track. The ENTIRE theme is "You should feel bad and guilty for celebrating Christmas with your friends and family because others may not have the means to do so". Driven home by the ridiculously condescending lyric "Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you"

I suspect not one of the self-righteous douchebags actually spent Christmas day in Africa. But hey, they di their part by signing a song trying to guilt you feeling bad about celebrating the holidays and it made them feel all warm and fuzzy inside...which is the more important thing anyway.

Even the title is ridiculous. "Do they know it's Christmas?" If they aren't Christian, probably not. I don't know all of the holidays celebrated by Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims or Jewish people.

I'm not saying we shouldn't be kinder, nicer, grateful or ignorant of those less fortunate at Christmas. But frick off with your self-righteous gilt trip.

Mine comes from the wonderful song, Do they know it's Christmas.

Sung by Bono in his prime:

"tonight thank God it's them, instead of You"

Bruh, that song has been considered somewhat condescending by Africans and not fully within the Christmas spirit of respecting your fellow man. That particular line was considered offensive enough that it was changed for Band Aid 30's 2014 remake to something much more respectful and friendly for Bono to sing:

"Well, tonight we're reaching out and touching you."

Elvis Presley Santa Claus is back in town.

(Christmas, Christmas, Christmas)
Well, it's Christmas time, pretty baby
And the snow is falling on the ground
(Christmas, Christmas)
Well, it's Christmas time, pretty baby
And the snow is falling down
(Christmas, Christmas)
Well, you be a real good, little girl
Santa Claus is back in town (Christmas, Christmas)
Got no sleigh with reindeer
No sack on my back
You're gonna see me comin'
In a big black Cadillac
Oh-oh, it's Christmas time, pretty baby (Christmas, Christmas)
And the snow is falling on the ground (Christmas, Christmas)
Well, you be a real good, little baby
Santa Claus is back in town (Christmas, Christmas)
(Christmas, Christmas, Christmas)
Hang up your pretty stockings
And turn off the light
Santa Claus is comin'
Down your chimney tonight
Oh-oh, it's Christmas time, pretty baby (Christmas, Christmas)
And the snow is falling on the ground (Christmas, Christmas)
Well, you be a real good, little baby
Santa Claus is back in town
(Christmas, Christmas, Christmas)
