It works in general. You just have to do it in away they will think you are doing it just to shut them up but you can also defend it that you are not.

You're right. Just keep on. It's sus them down. But then when you see they are on to you. Then go quiet and make them repeat each thing twice. Then start saying "you don't need to raise your voice I already agreed with you"

The downside, you may not get it for a few days, but you didn't lose the argument.
