I will miss at least most of SD tonight... if not into some of Rampage... to go watch my nephew play some pee wee football... so y'all have fun and I'll join in when I get back.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown comes from the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Shotzi (how has HHH not given her Blackheart back already?) takes on the leader of Damage CTRL, Bayley.

Hit Row is tired of Los Lotharios macking on B-Fab... so tonight the 2 teams will do battle.

The Honorary Uce, Sami Zayn, and his new buddy Solo Sikoa take on Madcap Moss & Ricochet

I'm sure G will be ecstatic to hear that Finn Balor is apparently in line for a major push.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AEW Rampage comes from the Liacouras Center on the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia, Penn.

The Acclaimed make their 1st defense of their newly won AEW World Tag Team Championship in a triple threat match against Private Party & Butcher & The Blade (2 AFO teams against the champs??)

La Faccion Ingobernable's Rush battles Dark Order's John Silver

FTW Champ Hook will celebrate his & Action Bronson's win last week over 2point0.

Jamie Hayter takes on Willow Nightingale.

And The Firm's Lee Moriarty gets to murder Alabama's favorite luchador Fuego Del Sol.

When will she finally turn on the Good Doctor?

Warner Bros. Discovery spoke to Cody Rhodes about staying in AEW

Cody Rhodes has been sidelined with an injury since early June, and left AEW months before that, but we've learned more about his exist from the company.

In speaking with Warner Bros Discovery sources, we're told that several efforts were made within the company to retain Cody Rhodes in AEW. Between AEW, Rhodes to the Top and Go Big Show, Rhodes had developed a good rapport with several in WarnerMedia at the time. We're told that the Cody Rhodes WWE deal wasn't official until a few weeks before WrestleMania, even though WWE considered it a foregone conclusion. As a result, after the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery, there were inquiries in the company completely separate of AEW to gauge Rhodes' interest in staying.

Among those that we're told that made an effort to reach out to Rhodes was Sam Linskey, who serves as Associate General Manager and Senior Vice President of Scripted Original programming for TNT, TBS and TruTv. We've heard that there wasn't any ill will between either side, and Rhodes had told those who asked that it was "time to leave the territory."

In addition, we're told that due to the Rhodes' connections across multiple Warner Bros. Discovery shows, they were also contacted to possibly participate in the UpFronts. We weren't told if that was tied to AEW, the other shows, or a combination.

Those we spoke to at WBD said they would have loved if Cody Rhodes had stayed, but it wasn't a dealbreaker for them. Sources within the company also state that they've been happy with AEW, particularly with their numbers in September.

Hi rt3!

I didn't think they'd have pee wee football the same night as high school football, in case a family had two kids of those ages. But what do I know?

I hate to admit it but he's been good in The Judgment Day, imo. Their feud with Rey is a highlight of RAW each week.

I am an Astros fan but have only watched a few of their playoff games since 2020. But, yeah, I'm a big fan of college baseball, except when I have to sit out in 150-degree weather to watch Ole Miss win a Super Regional in Hattiesburg ... sigh.

Sami is here!

Well, whenever you’re a failure, like what Austin was saying, you have to learn how to skulk about unnoticed.
