They have officially vaccinated ALL LTC residents

No other states are even close

Don’t try to excuse it away by saying “it’s a small state, easier to act”

Ever heard of per capita analysis? Yes, the population is small, but they accordingly have less nurses giving shots. It evens out

I’d love for a OT lounge resident to defend why Louisiana can’t even outperform a state full of hillbillies on public health operations

Isn’t there like two nursing homes in the entire state

One thing everyone can agree on is typically “grandma comes first.”

Which gets a lot easier there than most other areas outside rural Alabama or Kentucky.

Just mix it in with Mountain Dew and you would vaccinate all of WV before noon.

Not saying they are not top notch in getting the vaccine out ... but WV is a state that loves syringes

I'm sure they had enough volunteers to take and administer the shot

West Va is at the top of my list of a state I would never want to live in.

They also accidentally injected covid treatment instead of vaccine in some people.

I mean, someone had to be first. So good for WV. That's about all the analysis that's required here.

It's a useful metric, but I don't think per capita analysis always tells the tale. Good news though. Sounds like they are doing better than similar states.

There are a lot of benefits from having less people or territory to deal with that don't just "even out." That may be even more true with the limited supply of vaccine and identifying/contacting recipients.

We should be doing things like Israel is on a larger scale. If they have doses going bad they have stopped pizza boys walking by and asked if they want the vaccine.

Instead we have Cuomo threatening million dollar fines.

It’s directly in between Tier 1 and Tier 3
