I just took South Acadian heading north. There’s a school of some sort along the road and people are in line parked with their flashers on blocking lanes of traffic. The right lane going southbound is blocked and there’s a turning lane going northbound that is blocked. These assholes even have the reflective shields set up in front of their windshields. Why is this acceptable?

when you have a child you're allowed to block traffic for an hour to be able to pick them up 10 minutes earlier

Carpool lines are insane. The moms at the school near my office start lining up a whole damn hour and a half before school is out. Helicopter nutjobs.

Better question is why do they start lining up at 1:30 to sit in their cars an hour and a half until school lets out at 3:00?

When it comes to carpool, Tallagadega Nights rules apply. If you're not first, you're last.

They should get tickets in my opinion. It’s ridiculous. I got road rage so bad seeing that shite.

The former Walnut Hills, which is now some kind of arts magnet school, keeps traffic fricked up on school days.

That’s BRCVPA. That’s been going on for years. The option is for those elementary kids to get home around 5 after going through the transfer spot on n Sherwood. Not the greatest place for 8 yr olds.

Carpool line. Always sucked when my daughter was in 9th and 10th grade at SJA and I had to pick her up from school.

Their carpool line is South Acadian

I'm a year and a half away from having to deal with this. We live to close to the school for him to take the bus, but also there isn't a walkable path from our neighborhood to the school. He'd have to walk down a two lane, hilly and windy road that has no sidewalks or shoulder.

I left my house at 2 today to run an errand and the moms were already lining up, school gets out at 2:45. Really dreading my future with carpool lines.

I do this when I have to do the carpool hustle.

Early spot in line when all hell breaks loose and it gives me an hour and a half to answer work emails, make work phone calls, and catch up on TD. All while billing my time.

Pro-tip. Be one of the last assholes there. My kids' carpool line clears up around 3:15. That's when I get there.

OP, giving the parents tickets won't change anything. You should find an alternate route and stop being a bitch.

Thank you! It's insane to me. What I don't understand (maybe someone can explain) is in the mornings they do the same thing around 7-730a.

When I pass the school, no one is actively dropping their kids off, they are all sitting on Acadian blocking traffic. I never see cars moving in or out of their parking lot.

WTF? Doesn't school start around 7-730?

I hate that line and the one on college that does the same.
