I feel like we should toughen our stance on a variety of crimes.
Maybe not execute, but I'm fine with maiming. Every one of these thugs with a gun should lose index fingers. Rapists should lose dicks.

I support. This is one of those crimes where they is absolutely zero gray area. It’s not a he-said, she-said issue. There’s cameras involved with video evidence. You can’t argue that you were stealing something as an act of desperation. It’s simple.

You can't have just anyone killing anyone for stealing.
You CAN allow people to use deadly force to protect their property. Just allowing any jack wagon seeing someone pick up a box off a porch and blasting them away is a recipe for disaster. Allowing property owners to protect their own property will be enough to deter most.

I’ll pass on that idea. Porch pirates are terrible, but as someone who walks through neighborhoods and utility servitudes for a living, I don’t need folks any more trigger happy than they already are.
