Would you support a law for porch pirates to be executed on the spot?

I see no redeeming qualities for these people. If you choose to deprive someone of their property, brazenly walking up to a stranger's house in broad daylight and taking an unknown package just because you might want what's inside, you deserve to no longer be alive. Leave the body in the street.
You think Louisiana or Texas legislature would go for this? I might go visit the Capitol.

Only if it’s extended to car jackers or people actively stealing your car when you approach

The Mark Rober eps on this issue are pretty eye opening. The ones doing the thieving are basically entry level employees. Its crazy stuff.
To answer your question though, not sure about executing but I think a case could be made to chop off an appendage. Not overly fond of thieves. They really are the scum of the earth.

I think cutting off a finger would be appropriate.

No, that's some Sharia law type shite. The bullshite I order from Amazon isn't worth somebody's life. Should they be punished? Yes. Killed? No.

Our government won't pass a law like that unless they can make some kind of money off it.

Throw them in a gas chamber with catalytic converter thieves

I simply live in economically well-off areas, so I never experience this problem.
Sounds like all involved need to escape poverty.

I support bringing back stockades. Lock people in there for a day and let people throw rotten vegetables at them.

Don't have this problem in my non-trashy neighborhood

I empathize with your anger but no.

I’d like to think the OP is tongue in cheek, but I’d be lying if I didn’t secretly hope that someone doing this would get hit by a truck as they run away.
It’s 2023. We live in a first-world country that gives lots of stuff away. I agree with the OP that people who do this have no redeeming qualities.

This shows weakness. They have zero value to society, why not eliminate them.

Public corporal punishment.
