No, I'd give the credit to Joe Dirt.

re: Would you dox yourself?

Pretty sure everyone here knows who I am. Skillet does a great job of making it obvious.

quote:

Several people already know who I am. I have to remind myself of that before I post really stupid shite sometimes

So this queastion is obviously for those who are still anonymous. But curious, how did ya'll get found out? Didn't realize what this was from the get go or was just careless? I have to admit, when I joined, I had no clue, I was lucky. It's very possible everybody knows who I am.

ETA: serious typos

So let's say you did something heroic.
Every day when I wake up.

Next question?

re: Would you dox yourself?

Idk, never had any reason to create an alter

My life is really boring so the chance of me being a hero is very, very slim

Me too. I just think it's a very interesting topic. Just think, you are in a convienience store and you foil a robbery by taking the gun from the offender. You are a hero. You saved everybody in the store. Front page shite. How hard would it be for you to not come on here and say, "yup, that was me!!!"

re: Would you dox yourself?
Baton Rouge is a small big town. I know lots of friends from the food board and my BIL is a somewhat local food guy. Skillet knows his name and keeps posting easy ties back to me. I don't really care but would also enjoy being able to decide if I wanted everyone knowing me instead of it being his decision.

People here do not actually matter. You do not know any of them.

For sure. Still didn't asnwer the question. If you saved a child from drowning tomorrow, would you come on here and let EVERYONE know who you were?

This is not a true statement. The "I don't know any of them" may be true. But we all matter.

I don’t really say anything on here that I wouldn’t say in real life

It wouldn’t bother me too much if people knew who I was.

Anonymity is a comfortable blanket and I like it too much to give it up willingly. I wouldn't give up anyone else's either, and I'm very disturbed by cancel culture targeting normal people.

This the best subject on the board right now, by far. So anyone mocking it or downvoting it can kiss my ass. Go ahead, try to give me the downvoting record!

Yep. Miss you guys. Old game days next to the cow palace were good times. I’ll never forget the Super Bowl at your house also, I had alot of good beer and fun that night.
