Got an offer.

Like my job. New job would be similar work with slightly longer hours.

Like most of the people I work with now. Have no clue about the people at the new employer.

$24,000 more per year sounds really good.

Really torn. At a "money isn't everything" stage in my life right now, but it is something.

Depends. Are you moving from the outskirts of New Orleans to California for this job?

Define the 24K as a percentage of what you make now. Otherwise there’s no way to know the life impact

If I made a milli a year, probably not.

If I made 50k a year, hell yes.

A lot of variables to consider first.

If you are currently making $24k, then hell yes. If you make OT- average of $350k, maybe / maybe not.

Depends on your current take-home pay. If it’s 50k/year, then definitely. If it’s >120k/year, then it would come down to other factors.

Exact same situation for me right now. Closer to 30k more for me. Would be losing my 1/2 day on Fridays. Starting to think that’s a deal breaker.

Love my current job. Other offer would be more hours, some saturdays too.

No, but it's a lateral move.

Are you going from $50K to $75K, or $125K to $150K?

If it puts you at the bottom of the higher tax bracket. Then you may consider it a wash because you will be paying more in taxew.

Yeah, you make that deal then. Of course, vet out the company a bit. But if their turnover isn’t terrible, do it and don’t look back. Especially if the other job puts you in a better place for the future (career wise).
