seems a couple years ago they were all over the boards here laughing at everyone else who had $300 electric bills and they were so much smarter for having a marketplace to buy energy from.

haven't heard a peep out of them lately. i guess they thought $20 electric bills were here to stay.

It may not be $20, but it's still way cheaper than yours. Dumb thread

My bill hasn’t been more than $85 this year.

Keep the place on 69 when at home and 75 when at work.

Not bad at all.

don't remember that thread or bragging about a $20 electric bill. hell, i'm not sure i've ever seen an electric bill under $50 since being a homeowner.

but i do enjoy a good Louisiana vs Tejas thread.

Those $9,000 per MWh rates during the chilly spell in Feb 2021 broke the giddy Griddy customers.

Is this a reliability flex? The Texas grid does have issues. My electric bill last month with the hottest June on record was still $186.

Not a OT Baller. But getting nervous. Hearing Electricity bills in Louisiana have gone up roughly 75%

Should put me somewhere around 280-300

We had a -$8 utility bill last month, thanks to the Tesla solar panels on our south facing roof. Previous owners paid the remainder of that note off when we bought the house earlier this year.

If you’re trying to flex over green energy vs non-green, you should have probably started with comparing rates per kilowatt hour (total bill divided by kilowatt hours per billing period).

I’m in Texas and green energy is always the more expensive alternative.

I've lived here since 1999. I've never had a bill that low. Not sure WTF you're talking about.

That being said, living in Texas is still way better than living in Louisiana. And I grew up in Baton Rouge. Zero desire to go back.

So suck it.

TexTard here: $600 last mumf. 2,600 square foot 100 year old house kept @ 75 degrees.

Got fricked in a bad contract renewal cycle and it isn’t looking pretty. New rate offers ~$.15 / kWh

Previous high last 2 years was $150...reupped for $.12kwh for 3 years in Houston. Last month hit $175 in 1800sqft house. Probably more of the same close to $200.

My entergy bill was only like $90 last month. I guess I'm missing what people are talking about.

Just got the largest electric bill I've gotten in my new house.

It was $93.60 for a 4,317 sqft home in Albuquerque, NM.

$100 bucks flat rate every month. 110°F outside, no problem, 65°F inside.
