This same pack of good boys had previously killed the state worker who investigated this attack.

A Franklin County woman has died at the hospital after being attacked by several dogs in April.

Michelle Sheeks was on an early morning walk near her home on April 28 when her husband said she was attacked by a pack of dogs.

“Unfortunately she never got the chance to leave that hospital,” Michelle’s husband, Wesley told News 19.

Michelle passed at the University of Mississippi Medical Center due to complications from her injuries just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.

The same dogs are also accused of killing Jacqueline Summer Beard, an Alabama Department of Public Health worker that tried to follow up after that incident.

The dogs’ owner, Brandy Lee Dowdy, 39, was arrested and charged with manslaughter in connection with Beard’s death.

now there's someone who ought to get some years in the pen for manslaughter.

If I had a dog who attacked someone for no reason (e.g. not some criminal coming in my window), those dogs would be immediately gone. There would then be no possibility of a second attack.

Franklin County?

I bet I can profile the dogs and the owners without looking.

Edit - guess I should have read OP closer. Owner is not who I would have thought unless she is a mud shark.

This is fricking horrible. The second lady that got killed should have been allowed to go out there and shoot the dogs from the get go. She probably had a clipboard and pen instead.

If you go nosing around too far off the beaten path out that way being attacked by a pack of dogs may be the least of your worries.

im glad she is being charged with manslaughter and hope it sticks.

pet owners need to be held actually responsible for their animals. that includes cases of cruelty and neglect.

Why weren't the dogs immediately seized by animal control and put down?

The fat chick is the dog owner.

The state worker was killed when she went to investigate the lady in the hat’s attack. Lady in hat has been in a hospital since April and finally died.
