Baton Rouge Police are investigating a carjacking that took place in downtown on Tuesday afternoon, February 7.

According to police, two people armed with guns walked up to a woman and then stole her Hyundai Sonata.

It took place at around 4 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Street. Welcome to Nawlins North

From what I've read you don't need a gun to steal a Hyundai. Their anti-theft devices are easily bypassed. So no need for the guns. Unless the criminals were just looking to get extra charges when they are busted.

That’s cute. You thinking that the BR police will do anything to catch a criminal or the DA will do anything to prosecute said criminal.

The headline should read "Woman carjacked in the hood east of 110 near downtown"

That happened about 2-3 blocks north of the Greyhound bus station on Florida.

That's top notch investigative and informative reporting right there. Happy to see he invested all of 90 seconds of his time to provide us with relevant details.

Yes

I define “Downtown” as south of thdd Ed Capitol, west of 110 and north of Government Street.
