-26 in southern Iowa in 1976. And the wind was around 20-30 MPH so the wind chill was brutal. I've still got a patch of skin that handles the cold poorly due to mild frostbite. 1976 was a hell of a winter.

I'm in Stuttgart, South Arkansas in the delta. 25 degrees,but I just walked outside in pajamas and a coat to warm the ride up.

There is at least 10 days a year where I’m up to -40 deg actuall temp. Wind chill would be way south of it.

-27 windchill at Snowshoe WV. They were seriously considering just closing the lifts since hardly anyone was using them.

I have a sister (no pics) who used to live in Iowa and says the same thing. She also lived in Montana and says Iowa was MUCH colder feeling.

Why just last week it was 51 degrees one morning. I considered wearing long sleeves.

-44 wind chill here in Bozeman a couple winters ago. Bitterly cold bluebird day with a 7mph breeze

Yeah, people on here like to talk about how much they hate the cold. It's cold as hell in MA today, but my office told everyone to work from home for the next two days because of it, so...5 day weekend for this guy.

6 degrees overnight in Missouri with no wind.

Was honestly comfortable compared to the next day at 30 with the wind blowing.
