Doubt its been posted but the 18z gfs ensembles shifted a little nw with the precip shield and are now showing much of se LA receiving as much as 1.5 of precip

The 18z GFS & GEFS are probably worst (best if you like this kind of stuff) case scenario for much of S. Louisiana. I would be surprised if we see anything wetter than that and would probably bet on 00z backing off the totals.
You guys are so off base. The disgronificator predictions of the 18zzy and GTX scenario last seen in the northern parishes in the second quarter llp 447. Right?

I have special hybrids that grow year around, freeze doesn't bother them

What is it saying for New.Orleans? Did I really read right, .5 Inch of ice, plus 2" of snow. On the Southshore?
if it's both, glad I just left today. Love snow, hate ice.

OT meteorologists.. will this miss houma again?
I hear Bayou Time will run a special Monday Night feat. "the stick" to cover all your questions.
Latest model I saw shows snow will stop at Bull Run Rd area.

If I die and by some miracle you can get to New Orleans without the bridges being closed, it's yours. I saw people at the store buying water earlier. I thought about it, but then I said, "you know what? I've got 35 gallons of beer at home, give or take a few gallons. Screw water."

Easiest way to put it is some of the latest models were showing most of se LA getting upwards of 1.5in of some kind of frozen precip whether it be freezing rain, sleet,and/or snow. Just hope that if it verifies its mostly snow. Half an inch of freezing rain would be crippling, an inch would be devastating, and an 1.5in would be hurricane like damage.

We'd be pretty boned. I'm hoping for snow, but they're saying the southshore is looking more favorable for ice. I've been through ice storm in Tennessee before. They aren't a joke. Hopefully it warms back up quickly so even if the power goes out it won't be that bad.

it'll be hard to warm up too much too soon afterwards.. probably take a few days at least
