They’re probably an endangered species because they are so friggin’ blind!

Owls are damn near all feathers. The one on her head probably barely weighs over 2 pounds.

But they sure can screw up a windshield going 70 mph.

Have you seen their talons? They could frick up a 20 lb dog

Anyone know where she is?

She probably tied a mouse on top of her hat.
I have friends that went up to northern Minnesota in the winter for Owl photos - Great Grey, Snowy Owl, Northern Hawk-Owl, Boreal Owl. They hired a guide who knew the spots and on the drive from the airport he stopped at a pet store and bought a bunch of mice. When they'd find an owl the guide would tie a mouse onto the line of a fishing rod and cast the mouse out in front of the Owl. They got some pretty great photos because the mouse would run back towards them and the owls would swoop in low behind.
Great Grey is pretty easy to see, if you know the right spot to look. They are out on low snags in the middle of open fields, usually at dusk and just after dawn. It took me less than 5 minutes to find one at Yosemite (Chevron Meadows - behind a Chevron gas station). But there are only a handful left in the lower 48, so if you don't know one of their spots it's nearly impossible.

She says "I'm heading to bridge bay". So she's at Bridge Bay Campground, Yellowstone. It looks right for the background in the photos.
