I remember a time before warning labels.

What is your theory?

I have two at the moment:

- People are scared to take risks so they want you to be scared also
- We are in a feminine period for our culture

Lawyers run this country and profit from it. Always follow the incentives to find your answer.

People profit from being a victim. Everyone wants to be the next MLK or somesuch. There is social credit and financial incentive to doing so. Always follow the incentives.

More about control than safety.

They don’t want actual safety. They want the illusion/feeling of safety.

There is a frightening amount of people that can't think for themselves, so they take comfort in being told what to do

It's easier to escape blame/guilt and feel safe when you're not the one making the decisions

No world wars.

Life used to be cheap. Now it's overvalued.

We have a pretty cushy life, all things considered, so why put it at risk? Look at your average third world country. Those people put up with all sorts of shite, but they also have a much harder life.

That and lawyers. Lawyers ruin everything (note that there are 175 graduates of law schools in congress).

To be fair, they are making the laws, so it seems like a lawyer would be the right fit for someone making laws

People have been engrained that they need ‘safety’ from everything. Government pushes this narrative with the MSM with fear stories all over the news (including weather). People will give up freedom and liberty for safety (perceived). It’s the slow push of big government and it really showed with covid.

How dare you insinuate that all people that have periods are females!

I can tell you with 100% certainty that for a lot of cities, like New Orleans especially, they are anything but obsessed with safety. In fact, it's not a part of their vocabulary. Ever.
