No, more than just a commercial. Subtle messaging. Some groups represented just don't live like they're portrayed as a whole in those commercials. It's promoting fantasy.

don't care about the mixed race, but showing the men being absolute buffoons in every commercial gets old and is really damaging to the masculinity of our youth.

In practically every commercial it's a white guy looking like a doofus and a black guy looking like the smart guy. Or, if's it's a security commercial, it's a white guy robbing someone or breaking into a home. It's ridiculous.

Liberal advertising companies are the worst. They push their progressive BS on people.

Way more commercials now with white men and black women. It used to be just light skin black women that were attractive but I finally saw one yesterday with a big fat black woman.

But the editorial choices were made. Were they arbitrary? If not, who made the choices, and why?

I could see how the utter simplicity of it might rankle . That said, as diversity actually CREATES challenges that have to be overcome, I understand how somebody who values racial harmony would want to pat themselves on the back . But that kind of self - congratulatory virtue signaling often turns to Progressive lecturing on the sins of the white man . Which is ironic, considering that it was these values that resulted in this new and improved tolerance for others.

I noticed the same thing. There is nothing wrong with it but it is rare. They’re just trying to shove it down everyone’s throats. It’s beyond ridiculous.

What is so great about diversity? Why is diversity for the simple sake of diversity shoved down our throats?.

There is an ideology that a diverse group of people working together will achieve better results than a homogenous one. While it's meant to offset for capability by assuming that everyone is equally capable, this is far from practical reality. However, in applying this philosophy liberals quickly discovered they can shut out qualifying whites for things like jobs and businesses while personally hiding behind the ideology, and nobody has called them out on it yet.

The idea is that diversity trumps ability, and there hasn't been a good challenge to it yet, probably because nobody wants to be labelled a racist, which would definitely happen.

Was watching the series “Godless”on Netflix earlier this week. It’s a Western set around 1864. Within a 5 or 10 minute span they introduce a lesbian couple and an interracial couple.

This thread is evidence that conservative southerners currently find the idea of interracial or gay couples so distasteful that the fact that it is ever, at all, depicted in public means that it is "every couple in today's commericals" and that other people's lifestyles are being pushed on them. They can't accept that some people are different from them.

No, see in the natural flow of things...if someone is gay or wants to be with someone out of their race, that's fine. It is a relatively small percentage and is dwarfed by the percentage of what is depicted in ads we see therefore it is not reflective of reality. So what other explanation is there other than an agenda is being pushed in some fashion.

quote:

They can't accept that some people are different from them. The fact that some people exist and dare to not be publicly ashamed of it offends them. The offense itself is a whole other level of hypocrisy.

This is a product of YOUR own bias, which is clear against a segment of society by your statement, and is not based it reality. Nobody posting in here that I have seen is taking offense to the subject matter but the offense, if any, comes in from the undercurrents of the rationale for the companies going out of their way to force feed this on us. The fact that these companies are placing a disproportionate amount of focus on the interracial aspect of their couples is reflective of their focus on racial identification to make an issue of it, not the viewers who make an observation of this at some point when it becomes pervasive enough to notice.

I don't mind inerracial couples in commercials.

What makes my vagina sandy is how every male in a commercial has to be a gay or a pajama boy. Even Dox Equis turned the most interesting man in the world into a soi boi.
