Why do some of you people see everything as "liberals" or "conservatives". You have to consider this. Like any big company that advertises, they know their target audience and that is who they are trying to reach out to.

There are truck commercials that have the everyday working man in it, they are trying to reach out to that group.

The majority of America is actually moderate (during election years, that is who all the politicians try to reach out to.. If it's a race between democrat & republican, both sides know they have the ultras in the bag. They are trying to get the people who think for themselves).

This is sort of the same concept in an interracial couple commercial. Most Americans don't give a frick about an interracial couple. There are more interracial couples now than ever before.. As well as more bi-racial people than ever before. So you put a bi-racial couple.. It allows them to open up their target audience.

It's about money, not politics. If I am running a company and a marketing firm shows me numbers that says "according to these numbers, the best approach is to include a bi-racial couple. It will appeal to more people, which means more people will buy and the more people that buy, the more money is made..

Actually it’s about money AND politics . You might say that Progressive virtue- signaling is good business when it comes to advertising. Most people, especially young people, get a warm fuzzy when they see people of various races starting families together. The mistake is the underlying assumption that noticing this trend somehow makes someone racist.

You really want to use de Blasio as a shining example of “anything”? That constitutes an automatic disqualification.

Yes, absolutely.

I'm a white male father... I have plenty of spending power... but when I go out shopping for me I don't really give a shite about the advertisements and whether they had an interracial couple or a buffoon dad. The advertisements don't really have an affect one way or another on my purchasing habits. I'm not their target audience.
