If I weigh myself right before I go to bed and then right after I get up, I weigh 1 to 1.5 pounds less.

The only difference is that I take a leak first thing in the morning. In order to lose 1.5 pounds of water, I would have to fill up a cube 3.5"x3.5"x3.5". I can't do that on my best day.

While sleeping, your heart rate is slow as well, so what causes the weight loss?

Your body is still doing things while you sleep.

Because you lose water weight while you sleep due to perspiration.

pee and poop aren't the only way to offload waste. Fat is converted to gas also and exits the body through your arse and mouth through carbon dioxide. .

I would have to lose 3.5 cubic inches of water. That is a lot of sweat/pee.

Bed bugs eat your dead skin cells. It adds up after several hours.

What an odd way to quantify liquid volume. The average human bladder holds roughly 16 ounces of urine so a full bladder is 1 pound on it’s own.

Because you've been lying down all night and your weight hasn't settled into vertical position yet
