Dopamine kick like anything else. Our ancestors would get it from finding a piece of fruit, now women get it from finding stuff at TJ Maxx.

I know plenty of men addicted to shopping. The difference is their buys are lower in quantity and higher in price. Guns, gadgets, auto accessories instead of clothes, makeup, whatever.

Dopamine

They get a hit while shopping.

Their brains are different.
I don't see "fashion". It is a foreign language to me. I wear blue jeans and a white t shirt every day.
There is something about fashion in a female brain which is like the joy of solving a puzzle.
The only parallel for me is reading or watching a murder mystery where my brain tries to put together the clues as I go along. If done right, there is a dopamine payoff in the end.

Let them spend what they want, still better than dragging us out with them

Shopping and buying are two different animals. My wife shops a lot more than she buys, thank the Lord.
