I’m guessing it’s some ploy/troll that will be revealed during a lame Super Bowl commercial

Apparently Tucker Carlson wanted to frick the green M&M and got upset when the appearance changed. So Mars said, "Wtf?! Ok, I guess we'll just change to a real spokesperson."

They decided to add an alphabet color character and people rightfully mocked them continuously.. this caused them to dump the best long term campaign they’ve ever had bc people were to “mean and not inclusive”. Thus the idiotic move of her taking over as the main spokesman

This is that time of year when we find out which celebrities have tax problems.

Honest answer.

They changed the shoes one of the M&Ms wore from heels to tennis shoes.
Tucker Carlson flipped out and got the Fox News boomers to say it was some woke reaction. That they were making the m&m less feminine.
So after a while M&m said frick it and pulled the ads.

Snowflakes.

Now why would a company choose a famous person to be in their commercials

She seems like a good choice.

She's got seemingly wide appeal.

She's not a smoke show so not intimidating to women. She's not gross, so guys are ok with her.

I love how this board downplays every smokeshow but ugly chicks and skanks are somehow sneaky hot, intriguing or someone's secret crush.

Basically Margot Robbie and Maya Rudolph are both 7's.

America, let’s talk. In the last year, we’ve made some changes to our beloved spokescandies. We weren’t sure if anyone would even notice. And we definitely didn’t think it would break the internet. But now we get it — even a candy’s shoes can polarizing. Which was the last thing M&M’S wanted since we’re all about bringing people together.

Therefore, we have decided to take an indefinite pause from the spokescandies. In their place, we are proud to introduce a spokesperson America can agree on: the beloved Maya Rudolph. We are confident Ms. Rudolph will champion the power of fun to create a world where everyone feels they belong.
