Furthermore how would know?
Maybe it’s what you said plus what I said?

no what you are talking about requires test scores. They do give lots of money to out of state students, both white and black. but that is not why its a high % compared to historical data

and i wasnt doubting you that you were told that, i was laughing that you think thats the reason there is record enrollment amongst black students.

Because it’s due to a new kind of affirmative action which means deserving white kids don’t get in. It’s “equity” in action, and if you are white you should not be happy about it.

Or deserving white kids are going elsewhere cause they have some damn sense to leave the state.

I’m white and can care less. My kid isn’t sniffing LSU and it’s not because of the black kids.

getting in based off GPA from terrible HS's and not submitting test scores

This! It's much easier to be valedictorian at Glen Oaks HS.

for the record overall its ~12% black and ~21% for undergrad

and LSU needs to start requiring the damn standardized test scores

2024 freshman class was 12% black
2023 freshman class was 7.7% black
2022 freshman class was 18.7% black

This posted on LSU's website shows 26.8% black incoming freshmen in 2024.
Hispanic incoming is now at 12% vs the 6% less than a decade ago.

According to this, only 50% incoming were white in 2024.
Just 8 years earlier, it was 74% white kids.

That's not the issue but it's so easy to beat that drum, isn't it? It's about reducing standards in order to fulfill a certain social requirement.

So why keep posting demographic numbers? Every university has reduced standards in the last 10 years. College is a cash cow, of course they want as many kids as they can get.

yea we talked about it, I pulled my numbers using AI. It cited LSU site but guess it was wrong and I never looked at white population

and yea the amount of minorities has grown a ton.

Maybe LSU can graduate 20% of students now like the rest of them.

I wouldn'y worry too much. It's LSU, there is a significant chance he turns gay. Keep him away from the head football coach. He likes to bump butts with teenage boys.

So it's not necessarily the proportion that's different, but it's just a huge class with more of everyone.

Those photos are still surprising.

So is this a clear indicator that over the last 3-4 years black people have become overwhelmingly smarter and college ready?

Look like a rap concert not a university event.
Very please my kids don’t attend LSU.
LSU was a dream school in the 90’s.
The campus was beautiful, the culture was amazing and education wasn’t bias. You earned your spot and you hard for it.

This isn't the same LSU I went to in the 90's.
