quote:
Albert Fish.
He was sick. Evil is different. He obviously had major psychiatric issues. He even appeared to have some fricked up sense of morals. For example, he didn't molest the girl he ate and wrote the letter to her mom. He emphasized that as if it made it better, and too some extent I'm sure knowing her daughter died a virgin did. And the mentally disabled man he tried to mutilate but his reaction scared him off. He bandaged the wound and left $10. He was a sick bastard that spiraled into the bottoms of hell through a series of horrible life experiences. But I don't consider him true evil. He didn't appear to get his enjoyment from the suffering of his victims.
Now Vlad the Impaler, Ghengis Khan, Joseph Stalin, Hitler and others got off on the suffering and pain of others. Not just physical but mental torture and anguish before ultimately killing them. These are examples of true evil. I'm sure there was some underlying mental pathology, but they had no conscience at all. And Mengele is right up there with them. He was a sick frick. It's almost incomprehensible that there are people out there that would not only imagine such things, but actually carry them out. What's scarier is the thousands of them out there we don't know about.

Did you simply read about Albert Fish, or did you READ about Albert Fish? When he talks about tenderizing the little boy's rear by whipping him with a cat o' nine tails over a course of several days, and how he seasoned their "monkeys" and "pee wees" and cooked them and described how they were "sweet as a nut" etc.... How he inserted needles into his 'taint' for pleasure (29 were found embedded in the X-Ray), or how he inserted alcohol-soaked cotton into his rectum and lit them on fire... while on the stand he described all of the tortures with a definite pleasure. No, I don't think there are any others just as bad as him.

That list was horribly written.

Yep.
The real question is whether the body count is a good measure to judge the worst. Was Mao more evil than Hitler or just more effective at being evil?

I vote for Vlad or Nero.

Mengele is far worse than Hitler imo.
If you were strapped into a medical bed, who would you least want to be left alone in the room with? Hitler or Mengele?

Vlad did have some method to his meanness. He was trying to intimidate the Turk.
