Who here remembers LSU's phone registration system, Reggie?

Having to hit redial for hours on end just to schedule classes.

Busy Signal
Hang up
Redial
Busy signal

Redial
and on and on. Sometimes I'd get so used to just automatically hanging up, the phone would ring and I'd end the call before realizing it.

We had a mysterious 2nd phone line in my roommate's bedroom that was there and active when we moved in. The only time we ever used it was to plug a phone in to call Reggie.

It was mostly phased out by the time I was a sophmore. I attempted to use it once and gave up immediately, then got an advisor to schedule my classes.

yes. hours of hitting hook....redial....hook....redial....hook....redial....

though beats the previous system of having to stand in a line to get a class, only to have it fill up and you run to the next line.

That sounds like an awful experience, but not as bad as when Outtakes ran out of pepperoni Papa John's.

Dude the worst was when you had roommates and were using Reggie. Just sweating with the degree audit...... knowing you were going to have early classes.

Reggie was there when I was but fortunately I was athlete and we got to register first, our advisers just signed us up for whatever class you needed/wanted

I came in at the tail end of Reggie and the very beginning of Paws. I don't know which was worse. Paws had to be the slowest thing on earth.
