Two children were shot in the St. Roch neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, one of them requiring life-saving action by a New Orleans police officer, the Police Department said.

The 15-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl were wounded in the 2500 block of North Prieur Street at about 1:20 p.m.

"After a quick assessment of the younger victim, officer Daniel McCreary placed a chest seal on the girl’s back after realizing her lungs were about to collapse," a Police Department statement said. "Officer McCreary held it in place until EMS arrived to transport both victims to the hospital. Both victims are expected to survive."

Police investigated the scene and left at about 5:15 p.m., while small groups of neighbors of the block chatted with one another on their porches. Some said they didn't see or hear anything until police told them of the shooting, while others didn't want to comment.

Disgusting. Imagine a culture that’s been trained to hate the police more than the murderers within their ranks

I think the same little area had a kid killed a few months back.

People have been saying that since 2010. 10 years later, it's still full of hood-rats and heroin addicts. The come up isn't happening.

Those things are sticky AF. No holding necessary.

That was before those yankee transplant antifa dykes vandalized the St. Roch Market for "gentrifying" the neighborhood.

Actually. They are sticky right up until they come into contact with blood. Blood counteracts every adhesive ever tried for some reason. We worked on alternative adhesives with some funding from USSOCOM and didn't come up with anything better. The project resulted in putting some $0.02 gauze pads in with the chest seal to help wipe the blood away before applying it. It's kind of ironic that the damn chest seal will stick to everything except the one thing, bloody skin, you need it to stick to.

Not even for the children. Another vigil. Another call to end gun violence. No real action from any organization that likes to tout themselves as advocates for the betterment of black culture, neighborhoods, and potential.

Rinse... Repeat...

While true, there also could be retaliation from the shooters for people talking to the police. Those POS wouldnt hesitate to shoot up someone else’s house if they talk to the police.

Blood is sticky and contains a few ingredients found in glue.

You should have worked on a rapid drying agent.

Those pesky evil white police officers, out there saving the lives of children again.

Little Wayne knows what's up in NOLA with white cops. Ask him.
