Prior to today, it's been probably been a decade. Damn good show.

Went through some bad depression about 5 months ago. Had a terrible string of days so one day I got home and just let it out.

Felt pretty good after that. Ate some dinner, watched some baseball, and got my shite together.

For a long time, I was starving to cry. Had some some weird stuff happen to me over the years. Nothing as bad as to what happens to way more people but the way it happened definitely very strongly negatively affected me.

ICrying was something I desperately wanted to do. Not just tears, but I wanted to sob uncontrollably. But I couldn’t. I remember talking with people about it and telling them I yearned for it. Still haven’t got there, and I don’t have the desperate feeling to want to.

About a year and a half ago, I did have a nice little mental breakdown of sorts that was kinda like crying on a middle of the night walk. Like hyperventilating and and shite. Was a pretty dark night. Not really brought on by anything other than I’m way too much uptight and I can’t relax which keeps me from putting myself out there which keeps me from forming meaningful relationships.

Im way better now in a lot of ways fwiw

Honest baws aren't gonna chime in because no one wants to hear it but there are more people than one would assume who are going through tough shite who have moments to themselves in privacy

I had to put down my 15 year old dog Tuesday. I knew it was coming but it’s still so hard.

Around 6 years ago when I laid my paternal grandfather to rest. Family asked me to be a pallbearer and I sat with his buddies and family friends at the funeral home instead of with my folks. Choked up during the eulogy and when I put him in the ground.

March 2013. My father-in-law's funeral. He was a Korean War POW for 38 months. Full military burial detail at the cemetery. First one I had ever witnessed in person. A very moving experience. The squad leader was a black female and when she knelt down to present the folded flag to my mother-in-law the young lady had tears streaming down her face. I lost it. I was 61 at the time.

Friend died over the weekend
I learned the news right as my plane landed at the airport. Did my best to hold it together driving home with my daughter, but some tears were shed. Got home, went to the beach, and let the floodgates open.

First time in ~2 years, that I recall.

I watched the second season of Love on the Spectrum last weekend and shed some tears. My wife was laughing at me. I also had some edibles beforehand so that helped stir up my emotions.
