I quit Gulf Shores about 10 years ago, it has turned into a ripoff, a shadow of it's former self. A friend owns a house near Pensacola, we rent from him. It's in a idyllic, uncrowded area, where beautiful, sweet young ladies beg for my attention all day (my granddaughters).

Live in Metairie. Either say in New Orleans or right outside of New Orleans.

If I lived in Lafayette I would tell them I lived in New Iberia.

Two weeks ago, we were in Ft Walton. My wife (no pics) was wearing a Louisiana Cane Sugar t shirt as we were walking to the beach. A woman stopped her and asked "Are you from Louisiana?"

"Yes" my wife replied.

"What part?"

"Metairie."

"Oh. We're from Bossier. Yall have a nice vacation."

As she walked away, I heard the woman say to her friend "They must be rich. I heard Metairie is really nice."

Live in Covington. Depends on where the person asking is from but I’ll either say “a suburb of NOLA” or NOLA if I don’t feel like going into detail.

Just tell em Bogalusa. Depending on my mood I either want to revolt them so they'll leave me alone, or I'll be genuinely nice and try to seem intelligent. I'd like some people to know that everyone from Bogalusa isn't on meth.
