Occasionally, I end the day thinking, "I felt good today," and then I remember I took ibuprofen in the morning.

As I replied to this thread as the ole back is in a constant state of un-normal.

I don't feel all that bad even though I use a cane to get around at sporting events. Just overall fatigued though.

Can’t remember. Have broken 10 bones and am now middle aged.

Yeah years and years of being hard on my body has taken a toll. Knees, lower back, shoulders, elbows, wrists everything hurts. I have found if I don’t do my daily stretching routine when I wake up and then short run and gym for a hour that my day is absolutely shite. If I go two days without training something and most importantly stretching in the morning and before bed that I can barely tie my shoes in the morning.
I’m only 38, have a two year old, only gunna get worse lol so you keep up the routine and pay better attention to what you eat, it matters with inflammation

Early September of 1999. Later that month, a disk ruptured, and I have not been pain free since. In August of 2000 I had surgery, but I have still dealt with constant pain since. I don't need any pain meds though. I can mostly deal with the bad times with a tens machine and stretching, but there is constant pain and discomfort.
In 2024 I started eating low carb again after not doing that for about 13 years, I was very surprised when a lot of my pain and discomfort went away. It didn't work that way before, but definitely noticed it this time.

Why do people act like the body starts failing at 30 or 40?
Because theirs are. Mostly due to the fact that you ask

Blew my knee out playing HS football. It has hurt every day for 43 years. Getting it replaced in a couple of months.
Otherwise, back and neck issues, and I’ve had bilateral rotator cuff repairs.
Otherwise life is a beach.

Today before I went on a hike... now that I'm done I hurt all over.
My watch registered 32 floors of elevation gain and over 17k steps. Coming down was brutal on my feet.

You’re also 80lbs overweight but rest assured, that has nothing to do with it

I recommend you stop being such a bitch.
Concur, I'm 60, workout, eat right and am in no pain, other than soreness from working out and that's good pain.

Pain or discomfort there's a difference.
Had a meniscus removed and later the same ACL repaired but it's not really pain, more like just uncomfortable, just ever since I was a teenager. Cracked some vertebrae in a diving accident that paralyzed one arm as it fracrtured/broke my back, but that too passed and has become uncomfortable. Shoulders have been both separated and approximated till one doesn't look like the other one. But these are just normal feeling now.
I wrote in another thread (recently) about slicing both nerves in my wrist along with that other stuff which makes it work. It's a different special type of pain... but you get use to what doesn't kill you.
But about 7-8 weeks I slammed my left hand white paddling and my little pinky has still not stopped hurting. Would have it x-ray'ed but it's just a pinky. And they'd never understand you can't stop at 69, because you might never get started again. But that too is fading with the return of some footbal l!!!
And pain it's all over Genesis so I'm thinking it's merely a part of the plan.

You’re right. I should lose 80 pounds and get back to my 7th grade fighting weight.
