I always liked them when I was younger. The last time I went, there was a dirty diaper filled with shite on the stairs to one of the slides. I haven't been back since. Now my kids want to go so I'll probably bite the bullet and wear water shoes.

After watching the Woodstock 99 documentary I will never ever go anywhere where people are using a communal source of water. That includes water parks.

Yall some nasty frickers.

There’s not a roller coaster anywhere in the world (at a reputable park) that I won’t ride, but rides at traveling fairs put together by carnies and the tall vertical drop water slides, I tend to pass on those.

It's actually not bad all the time. Right now, several rides are closed, so it can be frustrating. :-)

I don't like water parks, but my kids and wife like them, and we are theme park nerds, so I humor their interest, so they will humor mine.

They have wanted to goto Great Wolf lodge now for several years, but we just haven't. I will probably relent one day, but it is pretty expensive for my taste for what it is.

If you are going to Orlando...
Volcano Bay and Aquatica are about the same size. Aquatica is the better of the 2, but it's debatable.
Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are similar in size, but Typhoon Lagoon remains closed.
Island H20 at Margaritaville resort looks interesting, have not set foot inside. It's more in line with the size of White Water, but the clientele is likely quite different.

The biggest frustration we have had at every park is the wait for food, they simply cannot staff up enough to meet the demand. Prepare accordingly.
