Baw, you can't expect lawyers to be held accountable for drunkenly almost killing some kids.
Pretty sure the latest is the guy is still an ADA in Lafayette and never got suspended and is still practicing law.
They're (the good old boy network) just waiting till it cools down and one of his crooked judge friends will drop the whole thing.
