I need to add a third strap to a gun bag to secure the middle of the bag. I have some synthetic 1” backpack strap and some Velcro strips. I could sew the Velcro but then I’d have to go borrow a sewing machine which would be a pain.

Can I use rubber cement to bond the Velcro to the strap and will it still be able to flex or will it make it unusable and rigid? I have epoxy but I’m almost positive once that’s hardened the strap will no longer be able to bend or roll to the shape I need it to.

Might want to use some clothing grommets and skip the velcro. Cheap at, say, hobby lobby

Anyone here ever tried using flex seal? I had an old screen door and I’d like to make a kayak to bring down to the marsh for fishing.

Surely you know someone with a sewing machine because a zigzag sewing stitch is what you need to be using, If you cut into the bag fabric, with a lot of fabrics you need to seal the cut or it will unravel seriously.
