What was worse to get growing up?

For those of us who actually grew up playing outside in the woods instead of jerking off to anime and playing Pokémon, which was worse to get after a day of playing in the woods…
Poison ivy on your elbows, between your fingers, on your ankles and calves…
Or
Chigger bites all up on your nutsack and inner thighs?
For me it was chigger bites on my little acorns. I remember getting finger nail polish lathered all over it to reduce the redness and itchiness, shite burned like a motherfricker to a 6-7 year old. But it was still an itch that could never be satisfied.
Poison ivy was a bitch, but chiggers were awful.
For you city dwellers who want to cancel me for saying chigger, they are also known as red bugs or berry bugs

For whatever reason poison ivy doesn’t do anything to me. Chiggers are the absolute worst still as an adult.

I am not sensitive to poison ivy so chiggers has to be the answer.
The worst I ever got them was on FTX at Ft Bragg. There was one guy in my platoon that every day in the field he got shite loads of deer ticks on his crotch, almost nobody else got a single one anywhere. The other enlisted guys called him tickdick. Pine barrens are a miserable place to roll around in the pine needles.

Well let me tell you, I had poison ivy so bad when I was a kid I had to stay inside for over a week, not just one summer either, it got on my face and I swoll up like a monster, I remember wearing sunglasses and a hat, years later my mom admitted to me how bad it really was… not cool.. but I didn’t care was out the next summer.

I was immune to poison ivy but chiggers ate me up. I got into some 4 or 5 years ago and it sucked.

I’ll never forget putting Crest toothpaste on a red bug on my sack at about 8 years old.

I lived back in the day when a lot of people (including myself) still thought nail polish suffocated the chigger, which is dumb since they don't actually bury into the skin. now that shite stung if you had already scratched the bite.
