I would say emotional compatibility is low on people's shopping list. They're more willing to overlook it.

I think that during that initial period there are just a lot of things not being looked at closely, and emotional compatibility is one of them. You think you are, but as you delve deeper into the relationship, you find you might have made a mistake. Then you start trying to figure out what to do.

I think the bottom line is don't ever take your spouse for granted. Instead of saying they are crazy, find out why they appear to be irrational. Develop and maintain a close friendship that will go a long way to keeping someone emotionally satisfied.
And they will get cummed in. I remember seeing a stat saying that up to 15% of the people living in this country are not the children of the fathers who think they are. So, that one kid on the family who doesn't look like either parent and is a bit of a dumbass, and the wife claims looks like some great uncle, is actually some other dude's kid.
And you have to break down that 15%, as it applies to all women. You have to think that the really ugly women don't get any dick outside of marriage, if they get dick at all, so the percentage in that category is damn near 0%.
Conversely, the really hot wives are spiking the percentage alarmingly. Therefore, the hotter your wife is, and the more kids you have, the chances that one of them ain't yours approaches near certainty.

And another thing, muslim culture and rules for women are based on this historical, biological fact, so the men force women to cover up, bend over and shut the frick up. This keeps them conquered, which they like, and keeps other men from seeing how hot they are.
They make the ugly ones cover up too, because otherwise, men would know that the covered ones are all hot.
