What is the smell in uptown Nola?

There is a chemical/astringent smell uptown. I grew up on the northshore, used to the smell of the paper mill in bogalusa on late fall days, but this is not the same.
Any info?

I smell it on Bonnabel/I-10. Smells like an old attic. Wind is coming out of the North here
