Just got a loquacious message from S Jr.’s headmaster reminding us of this bizarre gimmick scheduled a week from Thursday. So vague as to what actually is required. Trunk? Am i to fill the boot of my Bentley with sweets? Do public schools do this?
TIA

Folks set up games and crap out of their cars, trucks, and SUVs for trick or treaters.
Generally done at church in the parking lot.

Got a flyer for this here in the PNW, I'm sure the Karens will be all over this. Meanwhile I'll sit on my porch and hand out candy to any kid that walks by

This is a common way for people in rural areas to have a Halloween celebration that resembles trick or treating.
It’s mainly religious folks that do it around here.

It is regular trick or treat but everyone is closer together. Makes a shite load of sense, doesn’t it?

The absolute state of fall holidays.

Pretty sure this is when all the dealers give away their weed candy to kids for free.
Karen told me so. Last year I found a trident in little Blaxxton’s candy apple. Imagine if he had hurt himself and missed travel ball. It would really hurt his draft options in 12 years

It's trick or treating out the bacck of your car or truck....
we've never done it but its been around for a while
It's for parents that are afraid their kids are going to get kidnapped if they trick or treating.

IT is not just about the parents fear of kidnapping. A lot less homes put out candy these days so this is easier than navigating that and lets the kids run around and have fun while the parents socialize.

The trunk or treating is usually done the weekend before the actual Halloween night....at least the ones I know about in New Orleans
Trick or Treating the traditional way is huge Uptown...between Napoleon, Jefferson, Octavia, Nashville and State.....from the River to Fountianbleu....its a big fricking deal.
The schools and churches do their Trunk or Treating on other nights

We tend to go to a Halloween party with friends after hitting a few houses. The State Street trick or treating has devolved that last few years.
